For nigh-on 17 years, the story of Richard Mayhew, a city-boy white-collar worker, who finds himself trapped in London Below in the company of young noblewoman Lady Door and the mysteriously dashing Marquis De Carabas, has been told and retold – but first, it was a TV series. ![]()
